In 1983, Kim and I spent part of our honeymoon in Kailua, her home town for a few years. In the front yard of a neighbor’s home is a clump of Ptychosperma elegans, a tropical palm from Queensland. We picked and cleaned a few seeds and brought them back (yes, after inspection!). These trees are from those seeds and have been here for as long as we’ve been married, about 43 years. If anyone wants seeds, we’d be happy to share.
